Zaynab Al-hemed, currently a student member of The Centre for Studies on Poverty and Social Citizenship, is also currently an undergraduate within Carleton’s School of Social Work. Zaynab is an active human rights advocate, especially for children and youth. She began her work as an advocate for youth within her community with the Findlay Creek Community Association. Zaynab’s current interests lie within the very broad field of poverty and social citizenship as it relates to those with disabilities, as well as youth. Further, Zaynab is very excited to be working with the The Centre, as it will undoubtedly provide invaluable learning experience!
