Building awareness for social prescribing at the University of Toronto through student-led education, community engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The Canadian Social Prescribing Student Collective (CSPSC) University of Toronto Chapter is a recognized student group and is made up of students from a variety of disciplines across the university. Based out of UTSC, we aim to provide education and awareness of social prescribing as a movement by increasing student exposure and interaction with social prescribing through our events, newsletter, social media engagement, and student blog.
Student Blog
The CSPSC University of Toronto Chapter Student Blog is a platform for students to explore, reflect on, and share ideas related to social prescribing and community-centred approaches to health and social care. The blog is led by Student Blog Coordinators Shennel Simpson and Senaya Kiruwanagamage, who work with student members and contributors across the university to highlight emerging perspectives in the field.

Want to join the University of Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Social Prescribing Student Collective? Start by becoming a member of the national Student Collective, a network of passionate students across Canada advocating for a holistic approach to health through social prescribing.
- Become a Student Member the Canadian Social Prescribing Student Collective (CSPSC).
- After signing up, you’ll receive an email with the Welcome Package.
- Read through the Welcome Package, then click University of Toronto Chapter on page four.
- Complete your Chapter registration by filling out the Google Form!
